Office of the Electoral Council

The IT and Information Policy (I&I, IT en Informatiebeleid) team constitutes the Electoral Council's IT department. I&I ensures all relevant parties have access to the high-quality support software required to conduct fair, transparant and verifiable elections. In addition, the team publishes election results in a timely, correct and correct manner.

Team Lead I&I: Gido Schmitz

The Legal Affairs (JKA, Juridische zaken, kennis en advies) team assumes responsibility for all legal work and obligations within the Electoral Council’s mandate. Among other responsibilities, JKA oversees appointments to Parliament, drafting of formal advice to government, research, compliance with privacy regulations, and the Elections Helpdesk (Informatiepunt Verkiezingen).

Team Lead JKA: Audrie Spelmink

The Direction and Quality of Elections (RKV, Regie en Kwaliteit Verkiezingsketen) team safeguards the quality of the election process. RKV ensures the Electoral Council's stakeholders receive the support they require to administer free, fair and secure elections, observes the administration of elections, and contributes to evaluations of the election process.

Team Lead RKV: Diana van Driel

The Communications (Communicatie) team drafts communication policy and cultivates the Electoral Council’s external profile and visibility. Team members are responsible for the communications strategy, press contacts and statements, the website, social media, media monitoring, and written and visual communication guidelines.

Communications Coordinator and spokesperson: Anita Pronk

The Office Management (Officemanagement) team oversees day-to-day operations. Team members also assist in the hiring and onboarding of new staff members.

Board Secretary: Amy Kan

The Financial Administration (Bedrijfsvoering) team manages the Electoral Council’s finances. Among other tasks, team members oversee the office’s budgeting and billing procedures.
